Le Coup de Soleil - JACQUEMUS Mock Ad
Le Coup de Soleil - JACQUEMUS Mock Ad
In order to make a campaign correlative to the brand’s identity, it was essential to understand what inspires Jacquemus. The starting point of the concept was David Hockney’s “Portrait of two figures” and Christo’s “Valley Curtain”.
"Le Coup de Soleil" explores a combination of natural rhythmic flow and tension. The water represents an appreciation for the natural world. By bringing a bright colorful fabric into play, a new perspective is brought to a familiar landscape Christo style. Demi Journee features double portraits, which evoke nature, vibrancy, and sunshine to the viewers.

Upcycled Product
By touching on important aspects of sustainability we decided to create an uncycled product for Jacquemus, in order to implement further sustainable practices into the brand’s values. We were able to create a 2-piece set inspired by the brand aesthetic and design, by repurposing thrifted blazers and reconstructing them into an elegant and classic set.

Stance on Sustainability
Even though sustainability isn’t top of the agenda at Jacquemus, it does strive for better production practices and incorporates some eco-conscious techniques.
Natural Fibers
The extensive use of natural and semi-natural materials like cotton, linen, and viscose, allows for the brands' production to use less chemicals and contaminating plastics. His intentional use of fewer fabrics also allows for less waste production
Slower Calendar
In 2019 the brand decided to slow down their cycle by merging womenswear and menswear into one show, and just doing 2 shows a year. It was one of the first labels of it's position to make this bold decision, allowing for a slower production pace and less waste and costs from constant runways.
Recycling
In recent years there have been key moments where recycling and repurposing have helped the brand create products consciously. Like the puffer jackets with recycled filling, or the use of deadstock fabrics for packaging in a pop-up store.
